Meet Our Event Speakers

Larry Collett

Larry Collett is the president and CEO of netGALAXY Studios, a mobile technology company headquartered in Charleston, SC. netGALAXY Studios provides mobile app development, responsive website design and search engine optimization services geared toward mobile. He started netGALAXY Studios as a Web design company. As business increased, Collett expanded his business strategy to Web hosting and application development with clients such as Ford and the U.S. Air Force. Larry is married to Summerville native Rebecca Collett, ad news anchor/investigative reporter at WCBD-TV 2.

Ellis Grossman

Ellis Grossman attended the Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Technical College. After earning his degree in culinary arts and business, Grossman chose to take a different approach to his career and jump directly into the fast food industry. Grossman had managed about 20 Bojangles’ restaurants by the age of 22. He also did consulting with Taco Bell. Those experiences challenged him to develop a restaurant in 2010, Black Bean Co., that could mix the best of farm-fresh and locally sourced ingredients with a fast-food approach to service.

Carolyn Hunter

Carolyn Hunter president of C&A Unlimited, Inc. dba McDonald’s was born in Warsaw, VA. She graduated from Washington and Lee High School in Montross, VA, and obtained an associates degree in business management from Rappahannock Community College. Carolyn began as a grill crew person with McDonald’s in 1977, advanced through the managerial ranks from entry level to management and now owns three local McDonald’s which employ approximately 200 Lowcountry residents. She is active in community service and serves on the board of several local non profit organizations. Carolyn has a son, Albert, and lives in Goose Creek, SC.

Ray Snyder

Ray Snyder is a business and management instructor at Trident Technical College. He is the author of The Business of Families—Skills from Work that Work at Home. He worked for two decades teaching internationally as a senior partner with Ken Blanchard. Ray has worked with 120,000 managers in 10 nations on leadership, communication and service. He earned his MBA at Charleston Southern University and served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army Reserve. Ray is an elder at The Church at LifePark in Mount Pleasant, SC. He’s been married to his wife Kathy for 40 years. They have two daughters and sons-in-law and six grandchildren.
