Accounting for Non-Accountants

Human Resources

The SHRM Learning System includes multiple modules covering the entire SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge (BoCK) so you’ll learn everything you need for the new CP and SCP exam. For new and seasoned HR professionals, we also offer courses in Human Resources Introduction and Human Resources Law. Online Servsafe® Manager Course, Proctored Exam

Exam is proctored by a Culinary Institute of Charleston certified instructor at any of the Trident Technical College campus or site locations. Students must be on campus to take the test! The online exam also allows you to access immediate results.

Workplace Health and Safety

Explore basic employment laws, employee confidentiality, harassment, discrimination, employee classification (exempt vs. nonexempt, employee vs. independent contractor), and wage, hour and overtime regulations. Find out what we can do as employers to try to prevent domestic violence from spilling over into the workplace and how to identify and assist employees who may be victims of domestic violence. Learn to recognize, evaluate and respond to risk factors related to workplace violence associated with the disgruntled employee, family member, random shooter or terrorist.
