Accreditation

TTC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097; telephone number 404.679.4501) to award associate degrees, diplomas and certificates.

TTC is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs for the offering of the following associate degree programs: Accounting, General Business, Management, Office Systems Technology and Computer Technology.

TTC is accredited for pharmacy technician training by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists.

Accreditation has also been acquired for the following: The Associate Degree Nursing program and the Practical Nursing diploma program are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006; phone number 1.800.669.1656/212.363.5555) and have been granted full approval by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Nursing (P.O. Box 122367, Columbia, SC 29211; telephone number 803.896.4550); The Civil Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology associate degree programs are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012, telephone number 410.347.7700); the Cosmetology diploma, Cosmetology certificate, Nail Technology certificate and Esthetics certificate programs are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences and licensed by the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology; the Culinary Arts Technology associate degree program and the Culinary Arts diploma program are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the American Culinary Federation; the Hospitality and Tourism Management associate degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Hospitality Management Programs; the Dental Hygiene associate degree and Expanded Duty Dental Assisting diploma programs are accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association; the Medical Assisting diploma program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs on the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Medical Assistant Education; the Medical Laboratory Technology associate degree program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (8410 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Suite 670, Chicago, IL 60631; telephone number 773.714.8880); the Occupational Therapy Assistant associate degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association; the Physical Therapist Assistant associate degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education; the Radiologic Technology associate degree program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology; the Respiratory Care associate degree program is  accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs in cooperation with the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. The Veterinary Technology associate degree program is accredited by the Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities of the American Veterinary Medical Association. The Human Services associate degree and the Gerontology and Human Services certificates are accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Service Education.

The Legal Assistant associate degree program and the Paralegal certificate program have been granted approval from the American Bar Association. The General Technology associate degree program with a career path in Automotive Technology has received certification from the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation and National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.

The College is licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration.

TTC is approved by the South Carolina State Approving Agency for training veterans and dependents under the provisions of the G.I. Bill of Rights and by the United States Department of Education for participation in the College Work-Study program.

TTC has been designated as a Servicemember’s Opportunity College by the Department of Defense and a member of the Servicemember’s Opportunity College of the Navy.
