This program teaches students to properly install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair microcomputer hardware. Students also learn basic installation and troubleshooting knowledge of DOS/Windows. Basic knowledge of networking technology and practices are covered. This program helps prepare students for the corresponding A+ and Network+ certification exams. Admission into this program requires proof of high school graduation (or GED) and qualifying scores on SAT, ACT or the TTC placement test. Additionally, you should demonstrate basic computer skills through credit, transfer of credit, or by receiving credit by examination for the CPT 101 Introduction to Computers or CPT 102 Basic Computer Concepts course.
