 NBSC Check Cashing Guidelines
 Acceptable Forms of Identification (ID) for Students (All forms of ID must be current)
NBSC Customer--Requires One Primary or Two Secondary Forms of Identification
Non-NBSC Customer**--Requires Two Forms of Identification--One must be Primary
                    --Requires customers to cash check inside the bank.

PRIMARY

  • South Carolina Driver's License (includes beginner's permit, conditional/provisional license, special restricted license and full driver's license)
  • Military ID
  • Passport

SECONDARY

  • Out of State Driver's License
  • SC State-Issued Non-Driver's Photo ID that is 60 days or older
  • Federal ID Card or Badge
  • Credit Card
  • TTC ID card with current term sticker on back of ID
  • Employee ID card
  • Fire Arms Permit ID

                         

Deposit of checks--Funds availability varies with each banking institution.  Banks may take two or more business days to credit customer accounts.  Call your bank if you have any questions.

**Effective June 4, 2012, all non-NBSC customers will be charged a check cashing fee (up to $5.00 per check) if cashing their TTC check at an NBSC branch.  This new fee does not apply to NBSC customers or those customers with direct deposit (e-checks).
