Admission Requirements

Choose from more than 150 programs of study TTC offers!

If you have never completed academic courses at TTC, complete the Admission Application and return it to TTC's Admissions office with the $25 nonrefundable application fee or credit card information on or before the application deadline on TTC's Calendar.

Provide qualifying scores on SAT (480 critical reading, 440 math), ACT (19 English, 18 math), or TTC's Placement Test.  You may exempt all or part of the placement test by providing college transcripts with equivalent English and math credits or evidence of a degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.  You may provide unofficial transcripts to Admissions to exempt testing but must submit official transcripts to the Registrar to transfer credit.

Submit a copy of your high school transcript, diploma or GED; if you are still in high school, send after graduation.  If you provide evidence of a degree at the associate level or higher, you do not have to provide high school documentation.  Some certificate and diploma programs do not require high school for students who are at least 18.

Apply as UNDECIDED  if you have not decided on a major to pursue at TTC; UNDECIDED applicants provide qualifying test scores and high school transcript, diploma or GED.  Apply as NONDEGREE if you do not plan to earn a degree at TTC.  You must be 18 years old or meet the criteria for TTC's high school programs.  NONDEGREE students have no admission requirements, but may be asked to provide transcripts or test scores as evidence of course prerequisites.  NONDEGREE and UNDECIDED students are not eligible for Financial Aid including lottery-funded tuition assistance.

If you are applying for Allied Health and Nursing programs, Allied Health and Nursing applicants must meet specific program requirements and are admitted to Allied Health and Nursing programs on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis. Admission to TTC does not guarantee admission into Allied Health or Nursing programs. Applicants must submit a separate application for Allied Health and Nursing programs. Allied Health applications are available in the Admission office. Nursing applications are distributed in Open Advising Sessions and in Admissions on receipt of verification of Online Advising Session. Allied Health and Nursing applicants must also submit official transcripts from ALL colleges attended.

If you are RETURNING to TTC, but have not attended in the last three semesters, submit a Student Information Update form to the Admissions office by the application deadline.  Depending on your TTC records and the major you are declaring, you may need to provide qualifying test scores and high school or college transcripts.  If you are not currently attending TTC but have attended in the last three semesters, follow the registration process as outlined in On Course, the College's Catalog and Student Handbook or http://www.tridenttech.edu/.
