  Trident Technical College (TTC) is a local site for College Goal South Carolina, part of a nationwide effort to help students and parents learn more about college financial aid.

• November 11, 2011 - NOISETTE NAMED ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
  

  Yvonne Noisette was recently named assistant vice president for the Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development at Trident Technical College.

• November 4, 2011 - TTC HOSTING VETERANS DAY PROGRAMS AND VETS CENTER GRAND OPENING
  

  Trident Technical College is holding two Veterans Day Celebration programs on Friday, Nov. 11, at two campuses to honor the contributions made by the United States military personnel and veterans.

• October 26, 2011 - TTC OFFERS HISTORIC STRUCTURES AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY COURSE
  

  Charleston is a model of historic preservation, with more than 3,000 historic buildings. Trident Technical College’s new continuing education course, Historic Structures and Energy Efficiency, addresses the special needs of historic buildings.

• October 19, 2011 - TTC TO HOLD HEALTH CARE INFORMATION SESSIONS NOV. 15 AND 16
  

  TTC’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development will hold two Health Care Information Sessions in November, where attendees can learn about continuing education health care programs that lead to rewarding and in-demand careers.

• October 12, 2011 - SIX DISLOCATED WORKERS GRADUATE FROM TTC’S PRE-EMPLOYMENT MANUFACTURING PROGRAM
  

  Six dislocated workers, who lost their jobs after a plant closing, graduated from the Pre-Employment Manufacturing Program Sept. 23 at the Dorchester County QuickJobs Training Center in St. George.

• October 11, 2011 - TTC STUDENTS TO SALUTE A FALLEN HERO AND RIDE FOR A CAUSE
  

  The community is invited to join Trident Technical College’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society in honoring a fallen hero with the fourth annual Matthew J. Taylor Scholarship Ride and Fisher House Fundraiser.

• October 5, 2011 - TTC OFFERS LOGISTICS TRAINING AT SUMMERVILLE SITE AT TROLLEY ROAD
  

  TTC will offer the Certified Logistics Associate and Technician programs at the Summerville Site at Trolley Road, preparing students to work in the transportation, distribution and logistics industries.

  Trident Technical College offers continuing education courses that will appeal to the professional as well as the amateur interior designer.

• August 15, 2011 - Trident Technical College Receives Early Childhood Accreditation
  

  As parents are sending their children back to school, often the largest issue on their mind is the quality of teachers in the classroom.

• August 18, 2011 - TTC OFFERS CHARLESTON HISTORY COURSE
  Life on the homefront during the Civil War is the focus of Charleston History and Inspiration, a continuing education course offered by TTC.
• August 16, 2011 - East Coast-Asia trade connections focus of TTC symposium
  The widening of the Panama Canal will bring more ships to Atlantic ports and create stronger connections between the East Coast and Asia. TTC will explore how growth in Asia will impact the Eastern United States in a free symposium.

  Seventeen rising eighth-graders from Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties spent a week at Trident Technical College’s Manufacturing Summer Camp learning firsthand about careers in the manufacturing industry.

  “Israfel: The Ordeal of Edgar Allan Poe,” a new one-act drama about Poe’s struggles in life and art by John MacNicholas.

• May 11, 2011 - $1 Million Pledged Gift Largest in History of College
  

  Trident Technical College and its Foundation today announced a pledged gift of $1 million by local business owner Carolyn D. Hunter that will be the largest donation in the college’s history.

• May 6, 2011 - TTC Offers New Running Course
  

  Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development will offer a new running course 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 21. Cost is $99.

• April 28, 2011 - Trident Technical College to hold annual graduation ceremony
  

  Trident Technical College will hold its 47th graduation ceremony Friday, May 6, at the North Charleston Coliseum. William Geary of Boeing South Carolina will provide the commencement address.

  Three new Interior Design courses at Trident Technical College address decorative concrete staining and the newest trends for bathrooms and kitchens. These one-day continuing education courses meet at the college’s Main Campus in North Charleston.

  The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) runs April 1-3 at Trident Technical College. The proceeds from this play will benefit the Charleston Clemente Course.

  The Town of Mount Pleasant and TTC today officially announced the creation of the college’s new Mount Pleasant Campus with plans to offer classes as soon as fall semester.

  Dr. Elise Davis-McFarland, vice president for Student Services at Trident Technical College, received the Martin Luther King Jr. Outstanding and Distinguished Service Award from the Black History Intercollegiate Consortium.

  Trident Technical College has received an award of “100 Books for Understanding Contemporary Japan,” from the Nippon Foundation.

  Trident Technical College begins its Black History Month celebration Wednesday, Feb. 2 with a full day of activities at the college’s Main Campus in North Charleston. All events are free and open to the public.

  Trident Technical College will offer a new Reducing Energy Use and Cost course this fall. This continuing education course meets 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the college’s Main Campus in North Charleston. Cost is $49.

  Trident Technical College has received a $46,047 planning grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to establish a Lowcountry Foodways Project.
