International Clubs at the College

Alpha Mu Gamma Nu Lambda Chapter:

To recognize achievement in the field of foreign languages, to stimulate a desire for linguistic attainment, to encourage an interest in the study of foreign language, literatures, cultures and civilizations, and to foster sympathetic understanding of other peoples and international friendship.  Advisors:  Patricia Newman, 574-6405; Mary Lou Ippolito, 574-6802; Lisa Lopez, 574-6681; and Cheryl Novak, 574-6584.

Futuristic Impact: 

To engender a keen interest in helping individuals visualize success, to develop a sound understanding of cultural similarities and differences and to promote the awareness of student support services.  Advisors:  Vertelle Middleton, 574-6127 and Thomas Brown, 574-6266.

Harvard Model U.N. Club:

To prepare students to host the TTC Model UN and attend the Harvard National Model UN.  Advisors:  Lester Pittman, 574-6420 and Pepe Zerde, 574-6527.

International Association of Administrative Professionals:

To enhance the image of administrative support positions in office environments by promoting the professional development of students preparing careers in administrative support positions or as business teachers.  Advisors:  Susan Steinriede, 574-6151; Patricia Casey, 574-6146; and Edna Boroski, 574-6931.

International Club:

To promote good will and understanding, to develop character, to cultivate friendship, and to assist international students in their academic skills and daily life adjustment.  Advisors:  Tommie Burwell, 574-6463 and Fariba Ebrahimi, 574-6121.

Japanese Anime Education Club:

To educate students on Japanese culture and anime.  Advisors:  Katharine Purcell, 574-6457 and Sandy Lopez, 574-6681.

Roots and Shoots:

To foster respect and compassion for all living things, to promote understanding of all cultures and beliefs and to inspire each individual to take action to make the world a better place for the environment, animals and the human community.  Advisors:  Patricia Newman, 574-6405 and Roger West, 574-6780.

Society of Student Leaders:

To encourage students to help the community.  Advisors: Cary Kreiger, 574-6673; Tom Brady, 574-6084; Josephine Brown, 574-6777; Donna McHugh, 574-6084; and Darrel Milligan, 574-6354.
