Change of Major for Current Students
You may change your major online though your TTC Express account or on a Student Major Update form.
If you change your major online, the program you selected will be marked as Pending until the Registrar's office confirms you meet the academic qualifications for the program.
If you change your major using a Student Major Update form, submit the request to the Registrar's office prior to registration; be sure to include the career path for all programs that offer multiple paths. The Registrar's office will activate your request upon confirmation you meet the academic qualifications for the program.
Change of Major for Re-admit Students
If you have not attended Trident Technical College for three or more semesters, you must submit a Student Re-admit Information form to the Registrar's office on Main Campus or to one of the Admissions offices at Berkeley, Palmer or Mount Pleasant Campuses. You may be required to submit the following information to activate your records: U.S. Citizenship, updated placement test scores or transcripts from other colleges, or proof of high school graduation.
The Registrar's office will activate your request upon confirmation you meet the academic qualifications for the program.
The Orientation Center will assign a new advisor based on your new major. Changes submitted during the Drop/Add period will be effective for the current semester. Changes submitted after the Drop/Add period will be effective the next semester.
If you are receiving Title IV financial assistance, you need to discuss changing your major and your financial aid status with a member of the Financial Aid staff.
