Tips for Online Students
Familiarize yourself with the course site and its navigation. Read all of the course syllabus and/or course guidelines. Identify the necessary tools to complete assignments, such as proper hardware equipment and software packages. Be realistic about the required time to successfully complete your academic work. Set interim goals and deadlines for yourself, and stick to them. Organize your goals in a study schedule. Avoid interruptions while working online. Know where to study--in distraction-free locations. Stay in touch with your instructor. Prepare for all assignments and tests. Use good communication skills. Evaluate your own progress regularly. Use your test time wisely. Find some study-buddies.
