Educational Value	20.1 Evaluation of faculty that is consultative before it becomes summative, which provides the best opportunity for professional growth
Quality Standards	20.1.1 Instructors will be given feedback from the department head regarding formal observations that include both positive accomplishments and areas that need improvement. The instructor will be given a finite evaluation period to make adjustments. 20.1.2 Where improvement of the instructor’s teaching skills and/or the course’s instructional design are needed, the department head and the instructor will work with the Center for Teaching Support to improve these skills.
Educational Value	20.2 Instructor evaluation criteria being (1) clearly presented and (2) fully disclosed to the instructor prior to the beginning of the course
Quality Standards	20.2.1 All criteria for evaluation are to be presented to instructors in written or printable (i.e., electronic) format(s) prior to any evaluation period.
