Quality Standards	16.1.1 Instructors will have access to enough information to ascertain whether students could or could not be successful in completing various forms (e.g. online, mixed- mode, etc.) of course delivery. 16.1.2 Instructors will be aware of their biases toward student performance and/or different methods of course delivery.
Educational Value	16.2 Instructors having high expectations of students’ performance and communicating these expectations to students
Quality Standards	16.2.1 Instructors will "set the success bar" for the course and provide reasonable opportunity for students to succeed. 16.2.2 From the beginning of the course, instructors will communicate their expectations for students.
Educational Value	16.3 Instructors developing learners’ effectiveness as learners
Quality Standards	16.3.1 Instructors will receive training from the Center for Teaching Support regarding the ways in which students learn. 16.3.2 Instructors will use methodologies that help students process information and that teach them how to think on their own. 16.3.3 New learners will be given opportunities, whether required or optional, to expand their new learning skills. Experienced learners will be provided opportunities, whether required or optional, to adapt their existing learning skills to novel situations and issues.
Educational Value	16.4 Instructors learning goals clear to students, and provide students guidance and structure so those goals can be successfully completed
Quality Standards	16.4.1 Instructors will provide to students a clear statement of the learning goals for the course, whether orally, in writing and/or electronically. 16.4.2 Instructors will communicate clearly to students what they must do to succeed in mastering the course content. 16.4.3 Instructors will conduct their course in a manner that guides students to success while meeting division, college and/or accreditation standards.
