14.1.1 Instructors will be fully aware of the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education's policy on "Academic Freedom and Responsibility - Copyright" (i.e. Policy 3.1.100).
14.3.2 Instructors will receive ongoing training regarding copyright.
Educational Value
14.4 A system of incentives for new development and major revisions of courses
Quality Standards
14.4.1 The college provides incentive guidelines that stimulate the development of new courses and the major revision of existing courses. (See Divisional Dean for current guidelines.)
14.4.2 Instructors will contract with the college for receiving any incentive and will fulfill their obligation within the scope and timeline of that incentive.

14.5 A system of incentives to encourage continuation of delivery of courses
Quality Standards
14.5.1 The college will use its load policy regarding online and mixed-mode courses to provide opportunity for faculty to teach overloads (e.g., above 15 credit hours) for additional pay.
14.5.2 The college will continue to provide instructional support and training through the Center for Teaching Support.
14.5.3 The college will continue to provide technical support through the Department of Information Technology Services and the Distance Learning Office.
14.5.4 The college will provide hardware and software upgrades to instructors who are teaching online and mixed-mode courses.

14.6 A clearly communicated copy of college policy being easily accessible
Quality Standards
14.6.1 The college will provide access to all college policies via the college's homepage links.
14.6.2 Instructors will be required each year to read any new additions to college policy that directly affect them and their teaching and employment responsibilities. Instructors will be asked by the college to sign off on these documents signifying they have read them and understand the content. All first year faculty members will be asked to sign off on these policies in their totality, signifying that they have read them and understand their contents.
