In addition to benefits such as health insurance, life insurance or 401(k) plans, many employers offer the special benefit of matching charitable gifts made by their employees. This benefit lets a donor increase the size of his or her charitable gift at no additional cost to the donor.

To make this type of gift to the Trident Technical College Foundation, a donor first gives his or her donation to the Foundation. The donor then contacts his or her employer for a matching gift form, completes the donor portion of this form and forwards it to the Foundation. The Foundation completes the process by sending the form to the appropriate location to receive the employer’s portion of the charitable contribution.

Check with your employer to see if a matching gift program is offered. If you don’t have one, ask your employer to consider offering such a program.
