Snowden Family Scholarship Fund

Established in 2009 by NCGS Laboratories, the Fund assists students enrolled or accepted in (on the waiting list) the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program.

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant:

1) must be a new, returning or continuing student;
2) must be a Berkeley, Charleston or Dorchester county resident;
3) must be enrolled or accepted in (on the waiting list) the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program;
4) must enroll in and maintain at least six credit hours;
5) must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater; and
6) must demonstrate financial need (determined from a completed FAFSA form)

Essay Requirement:  Applicants are required to provide a brief written statement describing “the applicant’s educational and career goals and motivations as they relate to nursing, any circumstances or challenges the applicant had to overcome to pursue those goals, and how this scholarship will help.”

Award amount/use: Award of up to $4,000 ($2,000 for fall semester/$2,000 for spring semester) for tuition, books, required course materials and equipment.
