Force Protection Scholarship Fund

Established in 2008 by Force Protection, Inc. in honor of U.S. service men and women, the Fund assists students enrolled in selected programs related to business, mechanical engineering, computer aided design and welding.
 

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant:

1)      must be a new, returning or continuing student;
2)      must be a Berkeley, Charleston or Dorchester county resident;
3)      must be enrolled in an associate degree program for General Business (International Business career path), Management (Leadership Development or Transportation Logistics career paths) or Mechanical Engineering Technology OR a certificate program for Computer Aided Design I, Welding Gas Metal Arc and Flux Cored Arc or Welding Gas Metal Arc and Flux Cored Arc Advanced;
4)      must enroll in and maintain at least six credit hours;
5)      must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater; and
6)      must demonstrate financial need (determined from completed FAFSA form).
Special consideration is given to veterans of any branch of the U.S. military.

Award amount/use: An award of up to $1,000 ($500 for fall semester/$500 for spring semester) for tuition, books, required course materials and equipment.
