Assists students in need of financial support, particularly women, to acquire skills to become independent, productive members of the region's work force.

Student Eligibility: Returning or continuing students are eligible to apply.

To qualify: Current tri-county resident; have completed at least 18 semester credit hours in an associate degree, diploma, certificate or college transfer associate degree program at TTC or other accredited college with a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA; enroll in and maintain at least six semester credit hours per semester with a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA. Special consideration is given to students who are single parents with custody of one or more children. To remain eligible, criteria must be met each semester.

Award amount/use: Up to $650 for Fall and Spring semesters for up to two years if student continues to qualify. Use for tuition, books, required course materials and equipment. Maximum total award $2,600.
