Established in 2006 by Patricia Gibson who served as Dean in both Student Services and Academic Affairs to assist students in pursuing a degree that will allow them to enter the teaching profession.

Student Eligibility:  Returning or continuing students are eligible to apply.

To qualify: Be enrolled in an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree program and a tri-county resident. Must be a returning TTC student, having completed twelve semester credit hours and attained a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA. To remain eligible recipient must enroll in and maintain at least six semester credit hours and a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA. Must document tutoring experience at TTC or in another organized tutoring program in the community or demonstrate active volunteerism through citizenship activities such as church, charitable, civic or youth groups.

Award Amount/Use: Up to $1,000 for tuition, books and other program related expenses for up to two (consecutive or non-consecutive) semesters, with a maximum award of $500 per semester.
