Ann Hosford Smith Phlebotomy Scholarship

Established in 2005 by colleagues and friends in honor of Ann Hosford Smith. Ms. Smith served as department head for Diagnostic and Imaging Services and as coordinator for the Health Sciences certificate in Phlebotomy. She retires in  2006 after serving 17 years in the Allied Health Division.   

Student Eligibility: Returning or continuing students are eligible to apply.

To qualify: Be a returning student enrolled in the  Phlebotomy program; have  completed at least 10 semester credit hours which include: AHS 105, AHS 142 and AHS 143 with a grade of C or higher; have a GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. 

Award amount/use: A one-time award of up to $100 for tuition and fees, textbooks and education-related supplies and equipment.

Essay Requirement:  Applicants are required to provide a brief essay that explains their professional goals and financial need.  Instructions for submitting the essay will be provided during the application process.
