Established in 2006 in honor of Dr. Linda Ziegler, former TTC Vice President of Academics.

Student Eligibility: Returning or continuing students are eligible to apply.

To qualify: Be a declared major in the Associate of Arts program at TTC; have completed at least twenty-four credit hours toward a major in the Associate of Arts program at TTC; maintain at least twelve credit hours per semester with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0; and demonstrate an intent to transfer to another institution after graduation from TTC to pursue advanced studies in a Humanities/Social Sciences discipline. Preference is given to those who have overcome obstacles such as socioeconomic or educational disadvantages and are members of groups such as African Americans or Native Americans or of Hispanic descent.

Amount/Use: Up to $1,000 for tuition, required books, equipment and supplies for the Fall and Spring term for one year if student continues to qualify.

Essay Requirement:  Applicants are required to provide a brief essay describing their reasons for selecting a Humanities/Social Sciences major.  Instructions for submitting the essay will be provided during the application process.
