Sharon and William Asbill Associate in Arts and Science Scholarship Fund

Created in 2007 by Sharon and William Asbill to assist students enrolled in either the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree program who intend to transfer to a four-year college to complete a four-year degree and who have delayed the start or completion of their higher education goals because of family, financial or health reasons.

Student Eligibility: New, returning or continuing students are eligibe to apply.

To qualify:
Enroll in and maintain at least 6 semester credit hours; have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in either the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree (transfer) program.

Award amount/use: Award of up to $1,000 for fall semester for tuition, books, required course materials and equipment. Eligibility continues up to three semesters so long as a minimum GPA of 2.5 is maintained.

Essay Requirement:  Applicants are required to provide a brief essay describing educational and career goals and the circumstances that the applicant had to overcome to continue their higher education goals.  Instructions for submitting the essay will be provided during the application process.
