The following training skills are necessary for teaching an online or mixed mode course and are ranked based on their technical skill level. (Italicized items are optional.)

Skills marked with ITTC may be obtained at the Information Technology Training Center. Please contact the ITTC Director for details. Skills marked with CTS may be obtained at the Center for Teaching Support. Please contact the CTS Director for details.
 

Basic Skills

  • Perform basic functions of the IP Cisco phone system - ITTC
  • Perform basic master classroom procedures - CTS
  • Implement best practices for online and mixed mode learning - CTS

Intermediate Skills

  • Perform basic functions of the Outlook mail system - ITTC
  • Perform basic functions of the TTC Express system - ITTC
  • Perform basic functions of the Desire2Learn course management system - CTS

Advanced Skills

  • Generate, save, and revise an Excel file - ITTC
  • Generate data CD - ITTC
  • Assess course and revise or enhance - CTS
