Our Math and Science Facilitators Offer Help for Trident Technical College Students!
One-to-one tutoring offers students individual math assistance provided by a seasoned professional: Mrs. Pat Teague comes to the tutoring table with years of experience working one-to-one with Trident Tech students. She is knowledgable and insightful and has a unique ability to connect with her students in a way that generates enthusiasm and confidence. To schedule a tutoring appointment, either visit the Learning Center in Building 920, Room 211 and talk to the folks at the reception desk, or call them at 574-6409. Mrs. Teague's tutoring sessions are a half hour long and students may schedule up to two appointments each week for two weeks in advance. Please plan to call at least two days in advance of your first desired appointment time.
In addition to one-to-one tutoring, Mrs Teague also conducts group sessions for selected math courses. The semester schedule for group sessions is available at the Learning Center reception desk.
The Math & Science Center is a resource for students who want to achieve their maximum grade-earning potential in mathematics and the physical and biological sciences: Whether you are an 'A' student or are struggling with the basics, the staff and faculty at the Math & Science Center will provide you with an experience that is both challenging and rewarding. Located in Building 920, Room 211C, it is a collaborative learning center that provides a place to talk with others about your math and science courses, get help from a professional, or lend a hand to other students. An appointment is never necessary during the Math & Science Center hours listed below. Just walk in and join the discussion or work on homework in a place where asking questions and getting answers keeps you going in the right direction. Our full time faculty facilitators, Mr. Wes Chumley and Mr. Randy Koonce, spend most of their time in the Center working with students. Other staff members include visiting math and science faculty, professionals drawn from our academic community and the community at large, and exceptional Trident Tech students.
