Passport to Success |
Students on Academic and/or Financial Aid probation should take advantage of Counseling and Career Development’s Passport to Success program. The Passport to Success program helps students who are in danger of losing their financial aid because they have not remained in good standing for academic and/or financial aid standards of progress. Many factors outside the classroom directly affect a student’s classroom performance. The Passport to Success provides students with information and skills to success in the classroom, at work and in every aspect of life. |

| The Passport to Success is an optional program for TTC students who are on Academic and/or Financial Aid warning or probation and want to improve their academic performance. Students who participate in the Passport program begin by attending an academic counseling session with a TTC counselor. The counselor will provide the student with a ‘passport’ at the initial meeting and the student will then go to a minimum of three workshops during the semester to complete the Passport program. The presenter at each workshop that the student attends will stamp and sign the student’s Passport to Success. The Counseling Center offers workshops at Main, Palmer and Berkeley campuses throughout the semester. |
Why Should I participate in the Passport to Success program? |
Students who attend the workshops learn new strategies for student success, including the potential of watching your grades improve because of the new skills you learn in the workshops. In addition, any student completing the Passport to Success program can submit a completed passport along with other supporting documentation for an appeal if the student’s academic standing changes to suspension. Participation in the Passport to Success program indicates to the Suspension Appeals Committee a student’s commitment towards improving academic and financial aid standards of progress. |
