How are accommodations provided?
Assuming that the intake process results in our determining that you are eligible for certain accommodations and that you determine you wish to receive them, the counselor will ask you to read and agree to our Faculty Notification Procedures for Students Who Request Accommodations notice.   You will receive a copy of this notice.   The counselor will then prepare a Faculty Notification of Accommodations and forward it to each instructor for whom you have scheduled classes.  The instructor will either:  Respond that he/she can provide the recommended accommodations; respond that the accommodations can be provided with identified modifications; or respond that he/she has a concern regarding the appropriateness of the recommended accommodations as they relate to technical requirements, logistical arrangements, or course/grading requirements.

If in agreement, the Faculty Notification then becomes effective for that semester.  In the case of modifications or specific concerns, the counselor will attempt to reach a resolution.  If a modification results, you will be informed and given an opportunity to respond.  In any case, a final Faculty Notification is then generated.  You will receive a copy of the Faculty Notification and are encouraged to discuss its implementation as soon as possible with each instructor.

It is your decision whether you wish to disclose your specific disability(ies) to the faculty.  That decision will not factor into our determination of accommodations.
