How do I qualify for accommodations? |

If you desire accommodations, you will need to meet with one of our counselors specializing in these services. You should plan to provide current medical, psychological, and/or psychiatric documentation providing a diagnosis and describing how your disability affects your ability to function in a collegiate, adult learning environment. Presently, our staff does not conduct the full-scale psychological evaluations that provide diagnoses of mental, learning, physical, and/or emotional disabilities. However, our counselors may provide referrals to appropriate community resources if you require initial or updated assessments. Documentation indicating what accommodations you have received in high school and/or at another college may also be helpful. Please allow at least five days for the counselor to review submitted documentation and accommodations requests. After your discussion, the counselor will indicate what accommodations, if any, he/she is going to recommend. |
