Student Activities strives to provide programs which include social, educational, cocurricular, and family components. Suggestions for campus events are always welcome. Just stop by Student Activities to make any suggestions or call us at 574-6012.

If your interests are in an area that is not represented by the current organizations listed below, you may want to consider looking at page 47 of the Student Handbook for information on forming a new student organization. Here's a chance to learn to manage people and money, and to get things done for other students.

Student organizations currently listed in the Student Activities office include:

Alpha Mu Gamma Nu Lambda Chapter
To recognize achievement in the field of foreign languages, to stimulate a desire for linguistic attainment, to encourage an interest in the study of foreign languages, literatures, cultures and civilizations, and to foster sympathetic understanding of other peoples and international friendship.
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
To engender a keen interest in and a sound understanding of civil engineering and to promote its enjoyment.

Association of Information Technology Professionals
To develop a better understanding of the nature and functions of information technology.  To promote sound general principles in information technology and to study technical methods with a view to their improvement.  To study equipment related to information technology.  To disseminate generally, by all appropriate means, all fundamentally sound principles and methods of information technology.  To supply to its members information of the most current methods, and assist them in solving their individual problems.  To foster among students a better understanding of the vital business role of information technology, the proper relationship of information technology to management and the necessity for a professional attitude among information technology professionals in their approach to an understanding and application of the principles underlying the science of information technology.

Association for Paramedic Education and Training
The purpose of the Association of Paramedic Education and Training shall be to provide service to the College and community, to engender a keen interest in learning, to develop a sound understanding the Emergency Medical Response system, and to promote enjoyment in helping others. It will assist the serious and dedicated student to develop leadership qualities and academic skills that will benefit the student in future endeavors.

Campus Crusade for Christ (Inactive)
Campus Crusade for Christ is a non-denominational, student-led, Christian organization seeking to provide a spiritual environment of students, faculty and staff.

Clemente Coalition
The purpose of Clemente Coalition is to enrich the collegiate experience by promoting knowledge, honesty, self-expression, and creativity while supporting the missions of the Clemente Program and TTC.

Criminal Justice Student Association
To become familiar with the overall objectives of the criminal justice system, to help members improve their professional performance, and to observe related law enforcement activities as practiced by the criminal justice system.

Fitness Lifestyle Initiative
The purpose of the Fitness Lifestyle Initiative club shall be to provide service to the College and community, to engender a keen interest in fitness, to develop knowledge of fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.

Gaming Club (inactive)
The purpose of the Gaming Club shall be to provide students an organization through which they can network while sharing a common interest. While playing games will be part of the club, an exposure to the element of gaming will also be explored.  This includes but is not limited to the development of, mathematics, psychology, subculture and impact of gaming.

Hospitality and Culinary Student Association
To acquaint members with basic concepts and philosophies of sales and marketing in the hospitality industry, especially as it relates to the operational subjects being studied.
International Club
To promote good will and understanding, to develop character, to cultivate friendship, and to assist international students in their academic skills and daily life adjustment.

Japanese Anime Educational Club
The purpose of the  J.A.E.C. shall be to provide service to the College and community, to engender a keen interest in Japanese anime and manga, to develop a sound understanding of Japanese anime and manga, and to promote enjoyment of the same.  It will assist the serious dedicated students to develop leadership qualities and academic skills that will benefit the student in future endeavors.

Lex Artis Paralegal Society
To promote fellowship and to provide a networking facility between all students and alumni of the Trident Technical College Lex Artis Paralegal Program.

Lowcountry Aviation Maintenance Association
To promote safety, knowledge and dignity in the aviation profession.
Novo Caesaries
To promote fellowship and professionalism among all students and alumni of TTC's Cosmetology program, and to use its cosmetic talent for public services.
Novo Derma (Inactive)
To provide services to the College and community, to develop an interest in skin knowledge and enjoyment in skin care.

Nova Derma - Palmer (Inactive)
To promote leadership, fellowship, and professionalism between all students, faculty and, and staff of Trident Technical College.  NOVA DERMA-PALMER will provide services to the college and community to develop an interest in skin care and enjoyment in skin knowledge.  It will develop qualities that will benefit student in future endeavors.

Partnership for Change in Communities and Families
To serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights, and well being of all young children, youth and families to encourage the study, interpretation, and improvement of their education and general well being, to cooperate with other groups having compatible purposes, and to support and promote local chapters.

Pharmacy Technician Association
The purpose of the Pharmacy Technician Association shall be to provide service to the college and the community, to engender a keen interest in pharmacy, to develop a sound understanding of pharmacy, and to promote the enjoyment of pharmacy. 

Phi Theta Kappa
An international honor society for two-year colleges that promotes scholarship, develops character and cultivates fellowship among students.

Physical Therapy Assistant Association
To develop exposure in the professional environment of physical therapy.
Radiologic Technology Association
To promote scholastic excellence, develop character and make others aware of the radiologic profession as a service to the students of TTC.

Respiratory Care
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote scholastic excellence, develop character, and to make others aware of the Respiratory Therapy profession.

Roots and Shoots
To foster respect and compassion for all living things; to promote understanding of all cultures and beliefs and to inspire each individual to take action to make the world a better place for the environment, animals and the human community.
Society for Dental Assisting
To provide information and further education in the dental assisting field.
Society for Medical Assistants
To provide the student body the services offered by the Allied Health Medical Assisting Program.
Society for Medical Laboratory Technology
To provide services, information and further education in the medical laboratory technology field.

Society of Broadcasters
The purpose of this organization shall be to provide proper hands-on experience for the students in their efforts for broadcasting, to propose appropriate non-profiting funds for Trident, and to give Corporate businesses the opportunity to find well taught experience new ideas.

Society of Manufacturing Engineers (Inactive)
The purpose of the Student Chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers shall be to serve as an opportunity for networking between students and professionals of various disciplines to share information, interest and experiences.   Learn about emerging technologies and establish Trident Technical College as a resource for prospective manufacturing employees.

Society of Student Leaders
To help college students create the lives they desire by helping them discover what they truly want to do, giving them the support, motivation, and tools to achieve their goals.

South Carolina Black Student Association
To unite interested students to promote the achievement of overall excellence for black students.
Student Accounting Association
To engender a keen interest in accounting, to develop a sound understanding of accounting, and to promote enjoyment of accounting.
Student American Dental Hygienists' Association
To cultivate, promote and sustain the art and science of dental hygiene; to represent and safeguard the common interest of the members of the dental hygiene profession; and to contribute toward the improvement of the health of the public.

Student Massage Therapy Association
The purpose of the Student Massage Therapy Association shall be to provide service to the College and community, to engender a keen interest in Massage Therapy, to develop a sound understanding of professional behavior, and to promote employment of student as Massage Therapists.  It will assist the serious and dedicated student in future endeavors.

Student Nurses Association
To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide the highest quality health care.

Student Occupational Therapy Assistants Association
The purpose of this organization is to promote occupational therapy as a health profession, sponsor student activities, facilitate communication between students and the administration of the college, and provide community services.

Support of Children, Youth, & Families
The purpose of SCYF shall be to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights, and well being of all young children, to encourage the study, interpretation, and improvement of their education and general well-being and to cooperate with, support and promote activities with other groups having compatible purposes. It is also our desire to align ourselves with organizations (such as SCAEYC and SCECA) who offer membership opportunities, promoting continuous professional growth in the field of early childhood.  By providing, activities, promoting volunteerism and optional membership choices in professional educational organizations, our club will assist the serious and dedicated student to develp leaderships qualities and academic skills that will benefit the students in future endeavors.

Terra Bella
To increase awareness of horticulture and related fields through the interaction of ideas and methods, scholastically and socially.

TTC Gospel Choir
The purpose of the Trident Technical College Gospel Choir is to provide musical service to the college and community, to foster spiritual growth, diversity among TTC's students and develop an understanding for music.

TTC Photo Club
To provide service to the College and community, to promote a keen interest in photography, to develop a sound understanding of photography, and to promote enjoyment of photography.  To provide members with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and appreciation of photography.  To assist the serious and dedicated student to develop leadership qualities and academic skills that will benefit the student in future endeavors.

TTC Transfer Scholars
The purpose of the TTC Transfer Scholars shall be to provide service to the College and community, to improve student success for meeting transfer goals, to enhance leadership skills, to set model examples as college students in pursuit of transfer goals, and to encourage students to complete programs of study at TTC that will prepare them for transferring to other colleges.

The Trident Times
To provide students with the opportunity to apply professional journalistic standards and practices through the exchange of news and viewpoints.

Unified Club Council
To establish a unified council of club presidents that shall furnish concourse for discussion and provide and enhance a stronger and better organized club system.

United Students Association
To strengthen the unity, TTC's campus and surrounding area, between all ethnic backgrounds.

Veteran's Voice
It shall be the purpose of uniting veterans, students, faculty and staff, and the local community to promote education, awareness, selfless service, and a stronger sense of community.

Vet Tech Club
To provide awareness to the community on animal care and well-being and to provide services to the Berkeley County SPCA to ensure a better chance for adoption of their animals.

Visual Arts Association (Inactive)
To provide and promote a better understanding of the functions of advertising and its values; to stimulate and encourage advertising professionalism through advertising education; and to develop the abilities of its members.

Women Empowerment Club
The purpose of the Women Empowerment Club shall be to provide service to the College and community, to foster, advocate and educate, on topics that are meaningful to younger and mature women, by helping them to explore how education and power can influence and help change the different challenges women faces in today's economic crisis.  Women Empowerment will strive to empower the women to recognize and optimize their full potential in overcoming their fears and achieving their goals.
