Student Activities strives to provide programs which include social, educational, cocurricular, and family components. Suggestions for campus events are always welcome. Just stop by Student Activities to make any suggestions or call us at 574-6012.

If your interests are in an area that is not represented by the current organizations listed below, you may want to consider looking at page 49 of the Student Handbook for forming a new student organization.

Alpha Mu Gamma Nu Lambda Chapter

To recognize achievement in the field of foreign languages, to stimulate a desire for linguistic attainment, to encourage an interest in the study of foreign languages, literatures, cultures and civilizations, and to foster sympathetic understanding of other peoples and international friendship.

To engender a keen interest in and a sound understanding of civil engineering and to promote its enjoyment.

Association of Information Technology Professionals

To develop a better understanding of the nature and functions of information technology.  To promote sound general principles in information technology and to study technical methods with a view to their improvement.  To study equipment related to information technology.  To disseminate generally, by all appropriate means, all fundamentally sound principles and methods of information technology.  To supply to its members information of the most current methods, and assist them in solving their individual problems.  To foster among students a better understanding of the vital business role of information technology, the proper relationship of information technology to management and the necessity for a professional attitude among information technology professionals in their approach to an understanding and application of the principles underlying the science of information technology.

Association for Paramedic Education and Training

The purpose of the Association of Paramedic Education and Training shall be to provide service to the College and community, to engender a keen interest in learning, to develop a sound understanding the Emergency Medical Response system, and to promote enjoyment in helping others. It will assist the serious and dedicated student to develop leadership qualities and academic skills that will benefit the student in future endeavors.

The purpose of Clemente Coalition is to enrich the collegiate experience by promoting knowledge, honesty, self-expression, and creativity while supporting the missions of the Clemente Program and TTC.

To become familiar with the overall objectives of the criminal justice system, to help members improve their professional performance, and to observe related law enforcement activities as practiced by the criminal justice system.

Gaming Club (inactive)

The purpose of the Gaming Club shall be to provide students an organization through which they can network while sharing a common interest. While playing games will be part of the club, an exposure to the element of gaming will also be explored.  This includes but is not limited to the development of, mathematics, psychology, subculture and impact of gaming.

To acquaint members with basic concepts and philosophies of sales and marketing in the hospitality industry, especially as it relates to the operational subjects being studied.

The purpose of the  J.A.E.C. shall be to provide service to the College and community, to engender a keen interest in Japanese anime and manga, to develop a sound understanding of Japanese anime and manga, and to promote enjoyment of the same.  It will assist the serious dedicated students to develop leadership qualities and academic skills that will benefit the student in future endeavors.

The purpose of SCYF shall be to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights, and well being of all young children, to encourage the study, interpretation, and improvement of their education and general well-being and to cooperate with, support and promote activities with other groups having compatible purposes. It is also our desire to align ourselves with organizations (such as SCAEYC and SCECA) who offer membership opportunities, promoting continuous professional growth in the field of early childhood.  By providing, activities, promoting volunteerism and optional membership choices in professional educational organizations, our club will assist the serious and dedicated student to develp leaderships qualities and academic skills that will benefit the students in future endeavors.

The purpose of the Women Empowerment Club shall be to provide service to the College and community, to foster, advocate and educate, on topics that are meaningful to younger and mature women, by helping them to explore how education and power can influence and help change the different challenges women faces in today's economic crisis.  Women Empowerment will strive to empower the women to recognize and optimize their full potential in overcoming their fears and achieving their goals.
