5-0-1 Public Service/News Coverage

PURPOSE: The Marketing Department maintains a coordinated effort to project a positive image of the College.

  1. NEWS COVERAGE AND PUBLIC SERVICE

    All news coverage and public service coverage must be coordinated through the Marketing department.

  2. REQUESTS FOR NEWS COVERAGE

    Requests for news coverage may be made by faculty, staff and students. Suggestions for feature articles with no specific deadline are encouraged and may be submitted at any time.

  3. REQUIRED LEAD TIME

    For scheduled events, the Marketing department should be notified four weeks prior to the event.

  4. SPECIAL NEW COVERAGE FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS AND DIGNITARIES

    When appropriate the Marketing department will arrange press conferences for the purpose of making major announcements.

In addition, the Marketing department will request press coverage of visiting dignitaries. Requests for such services should be made at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled announcement or dignitary's visit.
