PURPOSE:  Students meeting requirements for a Trident Technical College degree, diploma or certificate must complete an “Application for Graduation” in the Admissions or Registrar's Offices.  The College catalog identifies all  degrees, diplomas and certificates awarded by Trident Technical College.

1. DEGREE
   Students completing graduation requirements in an associate degree are conferred a diploma in the degree granting program in which the student completed the course work.  The major will appear on the student’s official transcript.
   
   
2. DIPLOMA
   Students completing the graduation requirements for a one-year diploma program are conferred a diploma with the name of the one-year diploma program indicated.  The official student transcript will reflect the one-year diploma name.  The date on all diplomas will reflect the semester of completion.
   
   
3. CERTIFICATE
   The official student transcript will reflect the certificate name and date of completion.
   
   
4. AWARDING OF MULTIPLE MAJORS WITHIN THE SAME DEGREE
   Students who meet requirements for multiple majors within a single degree granting area, whether in the same academic year or in a different academic year, will receive one diploma.  The completion of multiple majors appears on the student’s official transcript.  Students completing requirements in multiple degree granting areas are conferred a diploma for each degree granting area earned.
   
   
5. AWARDING OF MULTIPLE ONE-YEAR DIPLOMA PROGRAMS
   Students who meet requirements in multiple one-year diploma programs will receive a diploma for each one-year diploma program completed.
