Clinical training is an integral part of this program; two semesters of the program include some clinical experience.
In the spring students are required to participate in four three-week clinical rotations. They rotate 12 hours per week for the first six weeks and 18 hours per week for the second 6 weeks. Student will rotate through community and hospital pharmacies.
In the summer semester, students participate in a two five-week clinical rotations for 18 hours per week. This provides for on-the-job training as well as future employment opportunities.
All clinical sites are local to the Tri-County/Charleston area. They include area hospitals, community pharmacies, and home-health agencies.
