This class studies the insects, diseases, and weeds that threaten the health and beauty of landscape plants.  Integrated Pest Management is covered as well.  Students will do an insect collection and disease collection as part of their final grade.  When complete, students will be able to identify many insect pests and their Order and common plant diseases.  Students can implement simple strategies to lower the risk of plants attacked by pests.
