Students who are enrolled in the aircraft maintenance program are provided with the opportunity to partake in a number of student body organizations. The Lowcountry Aviation Maintenance Association, or LAMA as it is known, is a subchapter of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA). The purpose of the organization is to promote safety, knowledge, and dignity in the aviation maintenance profession, and to unify program members. All currently enrolled aviation students are invited to join the LAMA club. The club meets at least once a month for one hour during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Other clubs our students belong to include the local chapter of the phi theta kappa honor society.
