For MAT 110, 111, 112, 130, 140, 141, 240 and 242, a GRAPHING/GRAPHICS CALCULATOR is required.

Because there is more support available for Texas Instruments calculators than any other brand, the Math Department recommends the TI-83 or TI-84.

For MAT 120, the TI-83 or TI-84 is strongly recommended, but the TI-34 II (scientific calculator with two-line display) is adequate, except for some sections that are specifically for users of the TI-83 or TI-84 graphics calculator.  (Note that the TI-35X and TI-36X scientific calculators are no longer acceptable.)

There are several programs for the TI graphing calculators that you may find useful in your courses.  Please see your instructor about downloading these programs to your calculator.
