Dr. Charles E. Palmer/Communities in Schools Endowed Fund

The fund was established in 1993 in honor of Dr. Charles E. Palmer, founder and president of Palmer College, who was instrumental in the merger of Palmer and Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Technical Education Center to form Trident Technical College. The Fund assists students enrolled in any associate degree or diploma program.

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant:

1)      must be a new student;
2)      must be a graduate of Septima P. Clark Corporate Academy;
3)      must be enrolled in an associate degree or diploma program;
4)      must enroll in and maintain at least six credit hours; and
5)     must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater;

Award amount/use: Award of up to $1,000 ($500 for fall semester/$500 for spring semester) for tuition, books, required course materials and equipment.
