BP Industrial Technology Scholarship

Established in 2008 by the BP Cooper River Plant, the fund assists students enrolled in the associate degree program for General Technology-Electrician: Automation and Industrial career path.  

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant:

1)     must be a new or returning student; preference given to new students;
3)     must be enrolled in the associate degree program for General Technology (Electrician: Automation and Industrial career path);
4)     must enroll in and maintain at least six credit hours; full-time enrollment (12 or more hours) preferred; and
5)     must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale) if a new student or a cumulative GPA of 2.5 if a returning student.

Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need (determined from completed FAFSA form).

Award amount/use: Award of up to $500 for part-time enrollment and $1,000 ($500 for fall semester/$500 for spring semester) for full-time enrollment for tuition, books, required course materials and equipment. The two recipients of the BP Industrial Technology Scholarship with the highest GPAs (must be 3.0 or greater) will be eligible for a one-time renewal of the scholarship for the next academic year.
