Lowcountry Manufacturers Council Scholarship

Established in 2009 by the Lowcountry Manufacturers Council, the fund assists students enrolled in certain Aeronautical Studies, Engineering Technology or General Technology programs and various certificates in Industrial Technology.

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant:

1) must be a new, returning or continuing student;
2) must be a Berkeley, Charleston or Dorchester county resident; 
3) must enroll in and maintain at least six credit hours; and
                          - must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
                          - must be enrolled in one of the following programs of study:

Priority given to students in the following programs:
Aircraft Assembly Technology Certificate
Aircraft Maintenance Technology Associate Degree
Aircraft Maintenance Airframe Certificate
Aircraft Maintenance General Certificate
Aircraft Maintenance Powerplant - Certificate
Avionics Maintenance Technology Certificate
General Technology/Career Path in Industrial Maintenance Mechanics - Associate Degree
Industrial Mechanic Certificate

Chemical Engineering Transfer (USC) - Certificate
Electrician: Industrial Certificate
Electronics Engineering Technology - Associate Degree
Electrical Engineering Transfer (The Citadel) Certificate
Electrical Engineering Transfer (USC) Certificate
General Technology/Career Path in Electrician: Construction & Industrial - Associate Degree
Mechanical Engineering Technology Associate Degree
Welding Gas Metal Arc and Flux Cored Arc Certificate
Welding Gas Tungsten Arc Certificate
Welding Shielded Metal Arc Certificate

Award amount/use: Award of up to $1,500 ($750 for fall semester/$750 for spring semester) for tuition, books, required course materials and equipment.
