Grants

The TTC grants office assists faculty and staff in obtaining grant funding to advance the strategic goals of the College. Grant funds support a variety of needs at TTC, ranging from equipment to curriculum enhancement to development of new programs.

The grants office does not offer funding directly to students; those services are provided by the TTC's Financial Aid office or the TTC Foundation. When pursuing grants, the grants office coordinates a grant development team for planning, data retrieval in conjunction with Institutional Research, development of goals, objectives and outcomes, and is the single point of contact for the grants submission process. Maintaining strong relationships with the community is an important function of the grants office, particularly in terms of forming collaborative partnerships with community organizations to support joint proposals.

Examples of recent TTC grants include: Department of Labor, Pathways out of Poverty project for weatherization training; Department of Education, Educational Talent Search to help middle and high school students succeed academically; Institute of Museum & Library Sciences, Lowcountry Foodways Project to document the cultural history of the region's food traditions; and ACE Walmart Success for Veterans grant.
