The SSS Tutoring Program offers academic assistance in the areas of English, mathematics, reading, basic chemistry and basic physics to SSS participants. Any SSS participant in consultation with the SSS counselor may request the assistance of a tutor. Tutors are either students who have excelled in their academics or professionals who have demonstrated proficiency in areas of expertise.

All tutor requests must originate with the Student Support Services counselor upon identification of the need for tutor assistance. Please complete and print the Tutor Request Form  and submit it to your Tutor Coordinator for scheduling and for assigning a tutor. Please complete the form and bring it with you when you meet with your Counselor. 

All tutoring sessions are held in The Learning Center (Bldg 920) unless the Tutor Coordinator approves a change in location. Tutees and tutors are expected to arrive on time for each session. The tutee must come prepared with the necessary materials and questions or problem areas identified.
