Green Tips

-Shut down and unplug electronics.
-Install a programmable thermostat and motion sensors on lights in your home and office.
-Lower your water heater to a maximum of 120 degrees.
-Buy food and other products in bulk. You will greatly reduce the amount of packaging and save money, too.
-Use your laptop. They draw only 15 to 25 watts during regular use, compared to desktop computers and monitors that draw 150 watts.
-Don't idle. An idling car engine (for more than 10 seconds) wastes more gas than is needed to start.

-Use the light-wash setting on your dishwasher. You'll save 2,860 gallons of water a year.
-Stop unsolicited mail and save trees by registering here.
-Water your lawn in the early morning or evening.
-Wash clothes in cold water.
-Exchange DVDs, books and CDs instead of buying. Or, buy digital downloads.
