The Upward Bound Math and Science Center, a TRIO Program, serves high school students from Berkeley and Dorchester District #4 in the South Carolina Lowcountry who have demonstrated both aptitude and interest in science and/or mathematics. Our five target high schools are: Berkeley, Cross, Hanahan, Timberland, and Woodland High Schools. 

To participate, students must plan to attend a four-year college or university with an anticipated major in math, science, or engineering. A career in a related field must also be in their plans. 

We are a goal-oriented enrichment program with an exclusive focus on academic excellence and subsequent college enrollment and success. Our program consists of three components: Discovery Saturday Component, Discovery Summer Component, and BRIDGE Component. Students are also encouraged to participate in our Dynamic Tutoring Program.
