Services for Nondegree Students

Students who are not coming to TTC for a degree, diploma or certificate and are not interested in receiving most types of financial aid can be admitted quickly to TTC as a nondegree student by submitting a completed application and paying the $25 application fee. The Orientation Centers are their resource for a quick orientation and registration.

Nondegree students must meet the prerequisite for courses in which they enroll at TTC.  They will be asked for supporting documents to register for those courses, such as student copies of transcripts, grade reports (online or paper), or qualifying test scores (SAT, ACT).  In most cases, official transcripts from other colleges are not necessary unless students wish to have credit awarded toward a degree, diploma or certificate at TTC.

Transient students, who are usually admitted as nondegree students, should submit their Transient Form signed by an official of the college they are currently attending, to TTC's Admissions Office or present it at the time of registration.  Students with valid transient forms do not need to submit prerequisite information for course registration.

The Orientation Centers have transfer information available for students to use: college catalogs, computer resources, and a notebook full of current transfer information to many in-state colleges and universities.  More information concerning transfer issues is available from TTC's home page under "Academic Programs of Study."

TTC's website provides a link to colleges who have written transfer agreements with Trident Technical College.  After selecting a college from the list, students will see links to their home page, their transfer policies and a list of courses that transfer from the South Carolina Technical Colleges along with the equivalent course at that college.
