What Is Emotion?

What is this Emotion?

Beauty is truth, and truth is beauty. Indeed, every time I see your face an undeniable truth is burned into my eyes. The only words that exist to describe how I feel about you cannot be spoken; they are pathetic substitutions. The pulse, the electrifying of all my nerves that ushers in the sight of your illuminating countenance, is something at which I stand in awe.

Plainly, the use of these fancy, painted words only cheapens the allure of your step. Please accept my attempts to portray you as a humble surrender to a welcomed captor.

The song of your voice echoes the joy one could only feel when a dream came true.  I would think myself deaf, or pray I was if I knew I would never again be able to hear your voice. Tears fill my eyes if there is but a hint of sadness in your tone.

Time passes me by as I stare awkwardly at you moment after moment. When the world surrounds me and life becomes too much to bear, I take heart in the fact that when I close my eyes, everything fades away but you.

Without fear, without pain, without life; you are with me, and I am without a doubt.
