Sweet Dreams Lost

Sweet Dreams Lost

So eloquently he spoke; intermittently I listened
Feeling awkward; yet loving it.
From his lips dripped exquisite thoughts
Rooted and layered in deep sexuality
His eyes harboured tranquility
Hidden amongst pangs of darker secrets
Here before him I stood with bated breath
He; the epiphany of my desires
A vivid portrait against wings
Of a captive monarch
The heart of my soul tap danced a melodious rhythm
Foreshadowing the interweaving of beautiful tapestry
In a trance; unknowingly
He became the breath of fresh air
That would soon sustain weary lungs
The attentive love he provided consumed me
He bathed my spirit in warmth
Like a parasol, he shaded me from mid morning sun
He was the wind chimes that whispered
Gently singing emotional love ballads in my left ear
While tears of joy escaped across the right,
As we walked along on wind kissed afternoons
Most importantly he embodied the moonlight
Outside my shadowy window
Providing the slivers of light
Allowing us a glimpse of one another

I loved him for all he was and proved to be;
Awake now, alone...he's gone;
An apparition of Sweet Dreams Lost.
