The Visual Arts program prepares the student for a career as a commercial artist. We help students develop ideas into visual form. You will learn a variety of media and methods to develop proficiency in computer software. You'll also be educated in graphic theory and business practices, exploring conceptual issues and communication techniques. Designers these days need to field a range of skills and be responsible for knowing the latest software. Once you have developed these broad skills, you will be able to apply this foundation to either of our two-year associate degree programs: graphic design career path or digital media career path. Alongside these degrees we also offer one-year certificates in computer graphics, multimedia design, photography, Web site design, illustration, and computer animation. Whatever your choice, we can provide the tools and learned skill for you to take charge of your own future.
