Accelerated Option Registration Requirements

                                                          NOTE: Students must complete all registration requirements before registering for the first clinical nursing course.
 
Immunization requirements are:
Current Tetanus (cannot be more than 5 years old at time student starts clinical nursing courses)
 
Rubella Immunization (1 Rubella immunization or 1 MMR will meet this requirement)

Rubeola Immunizations (2 MMRs will meet this requirements)
 
Varicella Immunizations (history of chickenpox will not meet this requirement)

The 3 shot Hepatitis B series.

If you have completed these immunizations but do not have official documentation of the immunizations, you may submit positive titer reports for Rubella, Rubeola, Varicella and Hepatitis B to meet these requirements.  Childhood Immunizations may be used to meet these requirements.

Additional requirements include:
A physical examination completed no earlier than January 1 of the year the student plans to start the Accelerated Option Nursing Program. Health form must be signed by a Physician.  To obtain a health form, contact the New Student Coordinator at nell.britton@tridenttech.edu.

A two-step PPD completed no earlier than January 1 of the year the student plans to start the Accelerated Option Nursing Program. (An initial skin test placed and read 2-5 days after placement.  A second skin test placed a minimum of 1 week later and a maximum of one month later and read 2-5 days after placement.)

CPR completed no earlier than January 1 of the year the student plans to start the Accelerated Option Nursing Program.  Student must complete either the American Heart Association CPR for Health Care Providers course or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer and AED Course.

A Background Check completed no earlier than January 1 of the year the student plans to start the Accelerated Option Nursing Program.  This background must be obtained through PreCheck, Inc.  To obtain information on how to request the background check, contact the New Student Coordinator at nell.britton@tridenttech.edu.

A Drug Screen completed no earlier than January 1 of the year the student plans to start the Accelerated Option Nursing Program.  This Drug Screen must be obtained through Doctors’ Care and must be coordinated through the nursing division.  To obtain information and coordinate the completion of the Drug Screen, contact the New Student Coordinator at nell.britton@tridenttech.edu.
