 ESTIMATED GRADUATION AND LICENSURE COSTS
FOR PRACTICAL NURSING AND
ASSOCIATE DEGREENURSING PROGRAM

Congratulations as you near the completion of your nursing education.  There are some anticipated expenses associated with your graduation and application for the licensure exam.  This information is intended to help you estimate the additional expenses for your final semester.  Costs are subject to change.

Graduation Fee
The College does not charge a graduation fee.  However, students who want a duplicate diploma will pay a fee of $10.00.  Graduation is held annually in May.  For students to march in graduation ceremony, caps, gowns and tassels may be purchased in the bookstore for approximately $19.95.  Additional tassels cost $2.95.

Pinning Ceremony
A ceremony is planned for each group of May and December graduates.  Students are required to wear professional attire.  This must be a completely white uniform.  Female students wear dresses and the school cap.  Estimated costs are:

Full white uniform (may be borrowed or purchased in consignment shop)………$35.00-$100.00
White shoes (can use the ones from school uniform) ……………………………..$35.00-$100.00
Nursing cap…………………………………………………………………………...$7.00-$10.00
Usually, a videographer will tape the ceremony for those who would like to
purchase a tape.  A photographer would be an optional expense also ……$40.00-$200.00
TTC nursing pin (optional if you wish to borrow one for the ceremony),
cost of the pin varies with selection of type ………………………………$40.00-$200.00
Additional information about the ceremony will be provided in the final semester.

Class Pictures (optional)
Sitting fee for pictures:  approximately $30.00-$35.00 includes one 11x14 color photograph of the master class composite, three color passport photos to use with the application for licensure, all unused profiles from the sitting.  Students may purchase additional pictures for an additional cost with information provided by the company.

State Board Licensure Fees

Application fee to SC Board of Nursing – certified check or money order required for both state and NCLEX fees:

  • $90.00 (licensure fee PN)
  • $130.00 (licnesure fee RN)

NCLEX fee (add approximately $10 for charges to credit card)……   $200.00 (for either RN or LPN licensure)
