August 17, 2010... Trident Technical College offers continuing education courses in horse, barn and farm management at the St. Paul’s Parish Site, 5231 Hwy. 165, Hollywood.


Experienced equestrians or newcomers to the horse world will benefit from Basic Theory of Horse and Rider, which covers training programs for both riders and their mounts. Topics include horse psychology and physiology, rider muscular/skeletal systems, horse and rider interactions, training systems, equipment and rider position. This course meets 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2. Cost is $125. Learn the economic realities of running a horse business in A Stable as a Business. Course topics include money management, business plans, equine and business law, customer relations and services, and record keeping. The course is offered 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16. Cost is $125.
