May 14, 2010... Cathy Lowe was recently named program leader in the Health, Human Services, Environmental and Safety department in Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development. Lowe manages the Coding and Medical Transcription programs as well as other health-related and non-health-related programs.

A resident of Summerville, Lowe most recently worked as a nurse consultant with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, where she was responsible for the design, development and implementation of a new program for the state’s elderly and disabled living in residential care facilities. She has also worked as a lead team nurse and registered nurse in local hospitals and home health care. Lowe received an associate degree in nursing from Columbus State University and a bachelor’s degree in work force education, development and training from Southern Illinois University at the Charleston Air Force Base campus.
