VELOCITY POWERSPORTS LOANS MOTORCYCLES TO TTC

August 20, 2009... Velocity Powersports recently loaned four Honda Nighthawk 250 motorcycles to Trident Technical College through a special loaner program facilitated by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. These motorcycles are used in the motorcycle safety courses offered by the college’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development.

“Statistics verify that rider education courses improve safety,” said Jerry Cristo, owner of Velocity Powersports. “We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable riding experience.”

Trident Technical College offers basic, intermediate and experienced rider courses. Motorcycle safety courses not only minimize risk by teaching responsible riding, but they also may qualify riders for an insurance discount. Courses are offered at the college’s Main Campus (Bldg. 910) and adjacent riding range in North Charleston. All courses provide a license waiver upon providing a learner’s permit at the start of the class and successful completion of the course.
