April 1, 2009... From the notes, journals and photographs of their five-week trip to Guinea and Sierra Leone, 13 Fulbright participants have created a Web site to share their collective feelings about what they experienced so it might inform and educate.

The Web site, www.tridenttech.edu/manoRiver.htm, includes observations of the West African cultures with historical connections to the Lowcountry. It also includes a bibliography page, and an anthology page from all of the participants will be added soon. The educational trip was sponsored and supported by Trident Technical College and funded by the Fulbright Office of the U.S. Department of Education. Participants from Trident Technical College included Timothy Brown, Ann McDonald, Lester Pittman, Karen Stewart-Cain and Donald West.
